It can also be a help.  A number of years back I was driving back from a trip to Maine and got caught in an April snowstorm.  I ended up behind this big shiny milk or other tanker and it was great as might headlights hit it and it lit up the road nicely.  This was mid-day in April.  I don’t go to Maine in April anymore.
